Quick Check In

We've been settling into parenthood the past week and everything is going really well. Other than being a little fussy at times, Marissa has been great. She's feeding really well and I think we've got breastfeeding down!  She lets us know when she is hungry, so hopefully her weight gain is going good.

The other day we tried out the moby wrap and my jelly bean sling.  I still need a little practice with the moby but the sling is great.  And no, it has not been recalled and it is totally safe if used properly.  I would not put my baby in something that has been recalled or unsafe, give me some credit!

Speaking of credit, my parents are so, so proud of Danny and I, which means a lot to me.  It's nice that they notice and are giving us credit for being good first time parents.  It seems like most people just want to tell you what you should or shouldn't be doing.  I've done a lot of research and I think we're doing great!  Danny and I have been working as a team and I think it pays off.

The dogs have been getting used to Marissa as well.  Sadie is very curious and Eli, well, he doesn't want much to do with her but he is starting to come around.  Here's a picture of the pups waiting at the door of the nursery for feeding time to be over.  They've been doing great and I am very, very proud of them!
