26 Weeks

I admit, I've been a total slacker when it comes to this pregnancy, especially compared to Marissa.  As Danny put it, some of the novelty has worn off.  I do love being pregnant but chasing a 13 month old around and working full time doesn't leave much time for taking pictures and basking in the pregnancy glow.

Here's what's up for week 26:

How far along am I: 26 weeks 4 days

Weight Gain: 14 pounds (give or take a few ounces)

Swelling: None so far, still wearing my wedding rings. :-P

Movement: Baby boy is pretty quiet but he has a few times of the day that he is active.  Danny got to feel him kicking again last night.  I think I also felt his hiccups for the first time yesterday.

Cravings: Nothing out of the ordinary.  Peanut M&Ms have been my guilty pleasure though.

Mood: Sometimes I get irrationally irritable for absolutely no reason at all and I don't know why.  I'm going to chalk it up to pregnancy hormones. :)

Things I'm looking forward to: Painting and decorating the nursery.  I'm a little nervous about the bright colors we picked out, I hope we like it!  It will be a very cheery and bright room, for sure!

Things I'm NOT looking forward to: I have to go take my Glucose Tolerance Test next week.  It's really not that bad, but I hate waiting an hour in the doctor's office to get blood drawn.

Alas, my 26 week belly pictures!

Just for fun, here I am at 26 weeks with Marissa.

  1. I journaled all throughout my pregnancy with Aaden and took pics every 4 weeks or so - at least. I'm constantly saying that I already feel sorry for our 2nd baby (whenever that may be) because I doubt I'll write every single little thing down like I did with Aaden. Oh well, such is life! I guess there's a trade off - with the first you are still learning about being parents, they are your trial run so to speak -with the second, you may not write as much down but at least they get parents that are a little more experienced :P
