BIG Changes!

My little girl is growing up.  This morning she woke with her very first tooth popping through the gums!  I could actually feel it.  The one right beside it looks like it will be following soon.  We thought she would be toofless forever!  13 days shy of her 1st birthday! =)

Marissa has also been taking steps.  Last Friday she took her first unassisted steps.  It was only three steps, but I was so happy that I was the first person to witness her walking.  I was so afraid I would miss this milestone and she would do it while I was at work.  Unfortunately, Danny missed it but he did see her later that day take a few steps.  Yesterday she walked from the front door to the middle of the room, I counted about 15 steps.  You should have seen the look on her face!  She already has that look in her eyes like she's ready to take off into a sprint.

She is really warming up to the new sitter.  I could barely get her in the door this morning before she was talking up a storm.  Normally she is quiet when she meets new people, so I'm glad that she is liking the new sitter.  As I left this morning she was standing at the door waving, so cute!

I can't believe that her birthday is in 13 days!  Her party is scheduled for the 27th and I'm slowly getting all the decorations wrapped up.  I still feel like I have a lot to do, but I'm sure everything will come together nicely.
